Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is a Giclée print? Is it the same as a poster?
- Giclée printing is an advanced art reproduction process that uses highly pigmented archival quality inks on museum grade paper to best replicate an original artwork.
- This process ensures that the resulting art print is fade resistant without any light sensitivity, hence its exceptional quality and longevity with a life span of 75 to 100 years.
- Due to this, giclée prints have a much higher value and are different from posters or photography paper which use dye-based inks, less durable paper and are not fade resistant.
- All prints by Good Art By Han are Giclée prints on matt, heavy weight, and highly textured museum grade paper, giving the artwork a handmade crafted feel with rich tonal depth.
- Although Giclée prints are durable and robust, they should be handled with care when unwrapping and framing, just as you would handle a valuable piece of original art.
- Prints come in standard ‘A’ size formats, with some prints also in standard metric size formats (inches/cm). Click here for more details on our size guide
3. How do I frame my prints?
- Online retailers such as Amazon or your local frame shops are great options to purchase frames. Choosing frame sizes is easy as all Good Art by Han prints will fit into their corresponding frame sizes.
